FORSE NIGHT-CLUB BERSAGLIO AUTOBOMBA

LINDSAY Lohan has her heart set on being a WAG and wants to bag herself a British footballer.

lohan0306007[1]

And her No 1 target is Manchester United soccer ace Rio Ferdinand.

The 20-year-old actress – who’s been in and out rehab recently – thinks our fleet of footballers are “awesome” and that England’s Rio is red hot.

The 28-year-old football star caught LiLo’s attention in Las Vegas last weekend, where he went to see Ricky Hatton, 28, knock out José Luis Castillo, 33.

Lindsay was said to be “bowled over” by Rio’s lean looks when she caught a glimpse of him with pals Wayne Rooney, 21, and Vinnie Jones, 42, at Caesar’s Palace.

An insider said: “Lindsay thinks Victoria Beckham is so cool and loves the fact that she is happily married to David with three sons.

“She sees that as the perfect set-up and wants to get to know a few British footballers – especially Rio.

“She thinks he is a real sweetie and thought he looked gorgeous at Ricky’s fight.

“Lindsay also heard on the grapevine that he is interested in becoming a film actor.

“She has said she will do whatever it takes to help him make it on the big screen in Hollywood – she has a big heart.

“She wants to fly from LA to Vegas so she and her pals can network among the British soccer stars who are there at the moment.”

But, sadly for Lindsay and her bevy of male-hungry pals, Rio is happily settled down with his gorgeous girlfriend Rebecca Ellison, 26, and their one-year-old daughter Lorenz.

We reckon it’s only a matter of time before Lindsay and her pals befriend Mrs Beckham.

Bandito da tutto il Regno

A Hearts football fan has become one of the first in Scotland to be banned from all of Britain's football grounds.

Dean Gollan, from Edinburgh, has been barred for three months from entering any UK stadium where a regulated match is taking place, a court has ruled.

Gollan, 33, was given the football banning order for a breach of the peace during a match between Aberdeen and Hearts at the Pittodrie ground.

He was sentenced at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Thursday.

He was also fined £200.

Gollan shouted and swore at fans during the 10 March match and tried to climb over a fence segregating rival supporters.

The order is only the second imposed in Scotland by a criminal court since the introduction of new legislation.

Football banning orders have been in existence in England since 2000.

They came into Scottish law under the Police, Public Order and Criminal Justice (Scotland )Act in September 2006.

The orders can be imposed in a criminal court or by civil application by the police.

Welcome decision

A Scottish Executive spokesman said there had only been one previous criminal football banning order in Scotland.

This was given to a protester who invaded the pitch at Ibrox stadium during Rangers' Uefa Cup tie with Maccabi Haifa and shouted sectarian abuse at the Glasgow team's fans.

Two separate civil orders have also been handed out.

Pc Simon Gardiner, Grampian Police's football banning order co-ordinator, welcomed the decision to impose the latest order.

He said: "I am sure that the vast majority of well-behaved fans not only in Aberdeen but throughout Scotland will see the ban as a positive step towards deterring bad behaviour at football matches.

"People attending football matches should be able to enjoy the sport without fear of trouble by a minority of individuals.

"Fans should be aware that their behaviour at matches could have serious consequences not only in running the risk of criminal prosecution, but also their ability to attend football matches throughout the UK."

Lego

A Manchester City fan has realised his dream of building a Lego replica of Maine Road stadium - four years after the club's former home was demolished.

Gary Standford, 37, of Salford, spent more than £1,500 on about 500,000 pieces of Lego for the project - which he started 13 years ago.

The Maine Road ground, in Moss Side, was demolished in 2003 when the club moved to the city's Eastlands complex.

But Mr Standford says he does not plan to replicate the new stadium.

He said that he dreamt of building the 3ft (91cm) replica when he was still at school and a big fan of Lego.

"I built a small-scale model but as I got older the Lego was put away in a box and I forgot about it," said Mr Standford

For 12 years I never even looked at it. But when I moved into my own place I came across the box and found plans of Maine Road tucked away inside it.

"It was then that I decided to re-build a larger more exact model of the ground."

Mr Standford worked on his replica about five hours a week and had to mould his own plastic for the more technical parts.

But like the club itself, Mr Standford's model has endured a difficult history.

Potter bother

He had to bring the project to a standstill when the Harry Potter films stopped his supply of vital sky blue bricks from Lego in Denmark.

"When the Harry Potter films came out, the sky blue bricks were licensed for the Harry Potter model only - so I couldn't buy them separately," said Mr Standford.

"I had to adapt and also used burgundy bricks, the colour of City's away strip, and took the bricks from the Star Wars models and figurines which were out at the time."

He says he is thrilled with the final model even though the club moved to the City of Manchester Stadium in 2003.

"I was sad to see the end of Maine Road but I really like the new stadium.

"Despite it being a challenge and a real learning curve I don't think I'll be building a model of the new stadium as well."
